Re: 114 Days: Pt III (3rd time's a charm)
Suzuki cars have historically been affordable cars, but I wouldn't call the kizashi cheap.. it is now cheap in price for the US market but this car when new, depending on the market, was upwards of 40k USD. Highest list price for a Kizashi was $29,000 and Suzuki was never in a position to demand fu...

CVT (with paddle shifters too). Were the paddles shifters standard? I never use them of course. lol . Yea, I guess it's been almost 10 years that I've owned it. I remember buying it. Traded a Toyota camry in for it. I remember driving the kiz home from the dealership, and it seemed so cool to me ba...

Re: timing belt replacement intervals
I disagree that most modern cars come with a timing chain. I have several mechanic friends who regularly change timing belts in all sorts of vehicles. Example of a recent mishap: my friend has a 2014 Mitsubishi L200 (turbo Diesel pickup). Timing belt suddenly failed and caused major engine damage..y...

Re: Still Driving the Kiz
I see lots of Ciaz (form the Authenthics concept) around here in CR. Also lots of jimnys and Swift, ignis, Celerio, Baleno, Vitara (some are turbo!) I see them more than Honda Nissan Mitsubishi or Subaru.. Not to mention Acura Lexus and infinity have very small numbers here. The only car that's dime...

Re: Rear Shock failure issue and TSB & Warranty Repair
Update: Went and had the shock taken out, then checked everything and showed him the bulletin instructions. We disassembled and put it together properly, with the slots up. Notes: The aluminum part (#4) which holds the stopper had all sorts of corrosion and gunk.. also the semi conical shape of the ...

Re: Rear Shock failure issue and TSB & Warranty Repair
Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I recently had to go through this issue. I can confirm that the KYB SB 113 bump stopper replacement has the slots, but my mechanic tells me that the slots dont fit correctly when inserted so that the top is the slotted side. The shocks were installed today but...

Just curious OP, what did you settle on for tire pressures? I keep mine at 40 psi all around but havent really tested other pressures on this set of Hankook 18s.. so Im curious as to a "summary" of your findings. Nice log!

If you can get someone with a scanner to clear the codes, or take the battery terminal off and apply the brakes a few times, maybe the ECU will reset enough to allow a proper crank condition?

Have you changed your spark plugs? A good spark never hurts..
