The manual trans models only require the clutch to be depressed to start, not the brake.
The OP looks to have an automatic.
On the autos, if the car is ON, but the engine is not, does it still require the brake to be depressed for the engine to start?
My Kizzy didnt want to start today...

Yes it does require it to be on. The radio only comes on if I'm not pressing the brake.

I have experienced the excessive crank issue a few times and had the software flashed but it still happens occasionally.
As soon as it happens, I shut the car off and try again; it fires right up.
