When my car is on I noticed a hissing sound I can hear under the backside. Not sure if anyone ever talked about this but if someone could please help. Not sure if this means anything but the brakes when depressed sound like there grinding but only when I start my car and leave my driveway after that there good I think.

Don't know about the hissing but my brakes make what could be a grinding like sound after I wash my rims. The discs with dried on water/ cleaner deposits. Goes away after driving.

Hope the hissing sound isn't something serious.

+1 on the grinding but haven't heard any hissing. You got any snakes near where you live?

Thanks. No snakes in Hawaii. Sounds like air hissing, no fluid on the ground and my tires are in perfect condition. I'm not a super savy car person but does the brakes and brake lines have or might be connected to the hissing and grinding?

Electric fuel pump? It's most likely in the tank which I think is under the vehicle in the area of the rear seat?

The ABS system does a self test on driving off, that sounds like the other noise you mentioned.

Maybe it's better to bring back to Servco for them to look at just in case. They have loaners too available from 7am at all dealerships.

Could be this:

LEAK DETECTION PUMP

Your vehicle has a pump to regularly check the vehicle's evaporate emission control system for leaks. This check is performed approximately 5 hours after the engine is turned off. During this leak check, you may hear a sound coming from the vehicle for several minutes. This sound is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.
