if I play decent mp3 conversion on my unit I (personalyl) have no problems. Compressed file formats will never be as good as uncompressed, but if done with a decent converter at a relatviely high / acceptable rate to start with, it should be pretty good?
If you play the mp3's on another player, do they sound ok?
