Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since I've posted here, but it's great to see the the forums are still active!
For probably a year now when we get good rain my car reeks of mold/stale water afterwards. I cannot trace it! I checked the usual culprits: sunroof drain, cabin air fan, replaced the cabin air filter, no water in the doors, can't find and wet spots on the carpet. It is driving me insane! Has anyone else discovered a leak that they fixed? Does anyone have other suggestions?
Thanks,
Keith

Have you tried clearing the A/C drain in the fire-wall? That's what I hear is usually the culprit in many makes/models. May not be plugged, but possibly has that slimy snot attached that accumulates where ever moisture is present w/o a strong flow of water to keep it rinsed out.

I have noticed that mildewy smell once or twice in 4.5 years, but I've found that when I do my cleaning routine and spray a good odor eliminating spray, like Ozium, into the air intake and keep the system on recirculate, it will keep any strong odor for developing. Of Course if you really have mold growing in your car, this will not do much for long.

Interesting. I removed the plastic cover at the base of the windshield and saw a drain on the passenger side below the intake for the AC fan. I'll have to check the driver side. It needs to be off the ground to get to it?
I've never found a wet spot inside the car, so I feel like it has to be in the AC system somewhere.
Thanks everyone!

Welcome back. I sort of figured you were gone forever.

It's good to be back. I'm happy to see that the forum is still alive and kicking!
A lot has happened over the past few years, but hopefully I'll be around for a while this time.
