Wipers stop in the middle of windshield

Hi guys,

our Kizashi is exhibiting a problem - quite frequently when pulling the stick to wash the windshield, the wipers will wipe but on return stop prematurely in the middle or lower part of the windshield. There are no issues when using the auto wipers during rain.

Did anybody else hit this issue? what was the solution?

I noticed another issue, when going past "auto" to speed "I" then everything works fine, wipers wipe at what seems to be the correct speed/frequency for "I". But at setting "II", they wipe slow. Like snail slow, it takes 10+ seconds to wipe in one direction and the motion is not smooth, but jumpy.
