Bluetooth phone connection dropping out

i'm having the same issue on my 2011 GTS with the RF head unit. All of a sudden the "pair phone" option is no longer available from the Bluetooth help menu.
music streams just fine. The only option allows us to "pair audio player." incidentally the USB audio connection failed a few weeks ago too. Now I'm starting to realize why so many people were having issues with these Rockford Fosgate head units. I've had none of these issues with the Garman nav unit in the 2013 SLS. I remember reading a thread about potential fixes for the USB connection. But does anyone know how to do a factory reset on the stereo ? or have any insight into this phone dropping issue ?

Update: I'm not sure why the phone was unpaired randomly, but I figured out that I was making a mistake. To pair the phone you have to hit the answer phone button, not the bluetooth menu / handsfree / talk command button above it. I went ahead and deleted the audio player (which was the ipod on my iphone 6) and started fresh using the "pair phone" and then "internal audio player" option during the phone pairing process. BT system now plays audio and makes calls successfully. now to figure out the damn USB audio connectivity issue...

That's the opposite of what it seems from reading here. Most problems with the RF system turn out to be operator error, just as this one did.
