Service engine, hill hold disabled & ESP error messages FIX
I have the almost same issue. First they told me that its the sensor and they replaced it but won’t fixed the problem. Its really hard when cold start in the morning but i just keep trying and it will start eventually sometime ins second or third tries and sometime 15 minutes. I took it to the lots of mechanics and suzuki dealership nobody could find the issue. Dealerships advised me to change the whole system through the push button to the sensor and sparg plugs which i have changed one by one already and they quote 3k without labour charge.

Hi Suman, I am encountering an extremely similar issue, please let me know if you find any solutions
If you’re pushing the start button and the starter is not engaging and you’re also getting the turn your steering wheel message in the center of your dash then most likely the electronic steering lock box is failing. The cheap fix for this is open the door and cycle that start system a bunch of times until it finally gets Continuity to work then unplug your drivers door switch. This works as a temporary fix in my opinion because it can fall out of Continuity even though the lock mechanism isn’t commanded move anymore after this, if it does fall out of Continuity, then you plug in the switch again with the door open cycling the start system again until it regains Continuity allowing it to start and then unplugging the door switch once again. The replacement box for these is quite expensive and takes at least two hours to install because the column has to be removed. Only a new steering lock box can be used because a used one has already been married to another system. what I have been doing, is adding a push button, start switch into the coin tray which powers the starter relay and completely overrides. The failed circuit in the ESL. It does, however get the message to wiggle the wheel while driving down the road still.Golem wrote:Suman wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 12:19 am I have the almost same issue. has anyone thought we may have dying ECUs? After 220k+ km it is quite likely to say the least. How long can a circuit board work? Electronics, including transistors carved in silicone, tend to drift after a time, especially in conditions like frequent extreme temperature changes. ECU is a delicate computer board so I'd add it to the equation with aforementioned parts like MAF sensor, throttle etc.

car ECUs are different from other commercial products or mobile phones they are simpler but more reliable and can work in harsh environments there are a lot of standards and requirements for car ECUs and as far as I know Japanese are good at following specifications and standards that's why faulty ECUs are the last thing to check in Japanese car but everything breaks especially with age but a good diagnostic technician needed in this type of situations to condemn ECU as a defected part to replace.
I've been driving Suzukis since 1989 and the ECU is the very last part of the car I'd suspect, they're rock solid. Seen a lot of electrical problems caused by poor connections between two wiring harnesses or a wiring harness and a component, but I've never seen a bad circuit board.
