Hi again so today I noticed that boht my back speakers are dead.I have the non Rockfosgate system and used the radio to move audio balance to rear and had no audio coming.I will be getting the doors opened up in coming few days but wanted to know other possibilities for them dying.

Also just information replaced headlight low beam bulb last week notice that the wire insulation was very brittle and on the edge of completely crumbling so another thing I've learnt as the car ages.

Hi,
Remove HU and disconnect G248 connector(big connector) from HU and use simple multimeter in ohm mode and check the 6/16 pin for rear right speaker there should be around 4 ohm or 8 ohm if it open circuit you have blown speaker or wiring problem and should investigate by pulling the door panel out otherwise your HU is the source.
Also, do the same check for the 5/15 pin for the rear left speaker.

Hey thanks for reply I'm going to be honest I'm 19 with very little experience on cars and plus if I break something my parents will make me regret it
. I am confident with a multimeter but don't know any good mechanic close by with whom I'd be confident in opening my HU I think opening the door seems easier as I know that he as done it before once to fix a the window motor so I'm going to do that once but increase it doesn't work I'll try your method. Also is this chart form the html service manual?

Read the service manual first if you are a DIY. You can download it from :
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4786&start=20

this file is in pdf and good start: Kizashi Repair Manual 2010-2011.pdf

You can start from a speaker at the door, of course.

So opend the door today checked omhs and got no results compared to working speaker which showed 3.5 ohms leading to conclusions that speakers are dead.
Now will be getting my speakers replaced and am going to go to be going to one of the most respected audio shops in Delhi.

Also thinking about getting damping done wanted to know if just getting doors and boot is good or should I get under the carpet and seats also?

Hey I've seen you whole story about the audio upgrade you have obviously done alot of work and I am doing the change because of the dead speakers but your whole story has been very helpful just wanted to know how much of an improvement the damping was?

Yes, I had a lot of fun back in 2019
I suggest doing the damping of all doors, not only does it make the speakers sound clear also every time I close the car door, I hear a much quieter sound, more like Lexus doors, I guess I like it a lot ;)
