So would something like this not work?

Audio in adapters??
I don't know if that would work or not... sadly I don't have the bluetooth in my kizashi.
I just really wish that Suzuki will make an Aux jack specifically for the Kizashi! I mean not everyone has an Ipod... and every other new car today has one in it.. Even a stripped base modle kia or hyundai! Come on Suzuki!

Nope, wrong bluetooth format. I tried that route on one of my many failed attempts to enter the audio system, another to my ever growing collection. Our is some odd format that nobody seems to have anything for, specific name escapes me. But I tried several suppliers and internet searches, nobody makes an adapter.Metatrox wrote:So would something like this not work?

AARGH!
.. I am sure I don't need to point out that you could have just bought a cheap 2nd hand ipod nano or something for your car and saved a lot of cost and time on gadgets to try and get an unsupported device working
I don't enjoy being on the apple-cart as much as the next anti-Jobs-ite, but by wifes ipod does work well and sounds great via the usb connection. Personally, I just use my HTC HD2 phone on random.
On that note though .. I certainly hope you CAN find a solution without spending too much more money!

I do believe that I am going to end up getting an Ipod
but I am curious, if you plug in the ipod thru the usb... can you still navigate all the songs on the ipod, like if you want to switch songs? and have it visibile on the ipod screen?
or can you only use the radio controls?

or can you only use the radio controls?

Not going to do much good with my portable XM radio with a standard 3.5mm stereo jack. That is the device I want to interface with. Never a fan of making my own playlists, seems like a lot of work. That is what satellite radio does, and well too.Shaneous wrote:.. Or a $1.59 aux in input that even the lowliest Kia has.Shaneous wrote:Best of luck! It would have been great to have Digital Radio in the 'Zashi as standard.

You may want to try this one:
http://www.buy.com/prod/bluetooth-3-5mm ... ml#cRevSec
The profile the Kizashi uses for Bluetooth streaming is called A2DP and this one supposedly does that.
Also, here is the manufacturers website for the product.

Looks like it has an internal battery and could be hooked into the Kizashi USB port for charging while in operation.
Good luck.
To make a comment on your satellite radio problem.. I agree. In 2010, the XM/Sirius tuner should be built into all radios and you should not have to pay $600+ for it to be added. I think they would make far more money via subscriptions then they ever could charging for the equipment.
