A mere $9400 , hardly worth a worry.? I was not greatly damaged, just bleed a lot. Car is repairable and unfortuneatly not a write off. [no new car, fitted maybe with sat/nav?] . Appreciate your concerns. Ron H

Glad to hear you're okay. Sounds like a decent hit, did any airbags deploy?

Hi all. No interest in impact shown by airbags, much to my surprise. Mentioned this fact to repair man, who suggested that he has seen greater impact damage and no response by airbags. My view is that impact was perhaps too far forward of windscreen, and to the side, to trigger any action; just an uneducated guess on my part. A responsive Curtain bag may have protected my head from its wound. /quote] Cheers Ron H

I guess it sounds like you got out of it "okay" - so the airbags weren't really needed?

(Airbags sound like nice soft cushy things, but your head hitting a fully inflated airbag might not have been too pretty either.... at least from what I've heard.)

Hi David. I can only summize that a curtain airbag must be less painful than the outlet of the nearest seatbelt housing. But yeah. "OK". Ron.
