Hey guys, need some help.
I hit some debris in my car, and damaged both wheels on the drivers side. The tires are okay, but the wheels were bent, preventing a seal.
I got new wheels, which came with TPMS sensors. The mechanic put the tires on the new wheels, using the old TPMS sensors, to avoid reprogramming. The TPMS alarm came on, and the mechanics were not able to fix it, and suggested I go to a dealership.
The dealership wants to charge a minimum of $250. $99 TPMS diagnosis, $80 mount and balance, etc etc etc.
Got a better way to fix this?

I needed 4 tpms for mine and i wasent gonna have $1000 dollers tied up in it like the dealer wanted. I got them off ebay for like $140 for all 4. They were made by orange electronics. Took the car to dealer then and paid $30 to program them. The dealer had a hard time programing them and was stating maybe I should of not got them off ebay. I contacted the seller from ebay and he put me in contact with customer service at orange electronics. Needless to say the customer service lady contacted the Suzuki dealer and he quickly learned that all off his equipment that he uses for Tpms is manufactured by orange. He the was told to program outside cause of interfernce. Everything worked good then. Dealer then wanted to ask where I got them at cause they cant get them that cheap!
I got the two extra TPMS sensors from used factory rims. (200$ per rim, including the TPMS sensor). These are factory Suzuki sensors.
The dealer wants 100$ to simply run a TPMS diagnostic/reprogram. Then, if they need to swap sensors, they charge 80$ for a mount and balance.
Honestly, I dont care about TPMS. I can use a 2$ guage. What bothers me is the freaking light that blinks constantly. Maybe there is a way to just disconnect the light?
I think they are just charging a bunch of money because they are the only suzuki dealership within 4-5 hours.
