Every time I connect my phone, a few minutes later the screen says "bluetooth device disconnected" and I have to reconect. My phone is Andriod and my wife's is Apple and it happens to both so I am blaming the car not the phone.
Has anyone seen tis before?
Bluetooth phone connection dropping out
That's the problem. They drop off the list completely. Then we have to pair them again. Then the Kizashi asks to be allowed access to Contacts and Message info. We always say yes, and always tick the box where it asks "Never Ask Me This Again". This whole process can happen 2 or 3 times in a 20 minute drive. I took it back to the dealer and they say the updated the software. Obviously that had no affect!
Strange. Have you done anything to the head unit or maps?
I think you've got a warranty issue for sure. From day one it shouldn't have been this way.

This is not a warranty issue....Please update your I-phone with the latest software. This will help.

My Android is fully up to date and so is my wife's iPhone. At my recent 20000 Km service I mentioned this problem and the dealer said they would try a software update to the Rockford Fosgate unit. Sadly this made no difference.
Something similar is happening to me too. My Kizashi doesn't remember any connections after I turn the car off. It was fine until I added my fiancee's phone as well and now it never remembers either of our phones. I have to manually connect each time
Strange. Now this sounds like some sort of config in the unit that's getting corrupted.
Any way to completely default the unit and try the pairing again? I only have my phone paired and have never had issues, but I plan to pair the wife's phone today.
