Pro Fuel System Cleaning
NTB suggested that I get Azumi a fuel system cleaning service from them for $109.99. Maintenance schedule doesn't seem to say anything about cleaning the fuel system, so I'm disinclined to let them touch the fuel system. Anyone know what the shop would do to clean the fuel system that a can of Seafoam wouldn't handle?

Yeah, $100 seemed a little steep for me, considering Techron is like $10-ish. If they are going to do something useful like check fuel lines or something, I might consider it.

Fuel System Cleanings by places like Jiffy Lube and NTB are known to be rather bullshit services. It's not required. Keep in mind, the kind of places that offer it are also the places that say you need a new air filter despite the fact that you replaced it yourself last week. They don't check, they just suggest as protocol.
If you are really keen on using a fuel system cleaner, something like a $10 bottle of Techron, Seafoam, etc. should suffice.

I forgot that NTB suggested I check my air filters... LoL. The guy said they couldn't find the cabin air filter, which made me chuckle on the inside.KuroNekko wrote:Fuel System Cleanings by places like Jiffy Lube and NTB are known to be rather bullshit services. I have a can of Seafoam that I didn't put in after the last oil change; looks like I should put it to use.
Thanks guys!

The Kizashi has among the easiest to find and replace cabin air filters of any car I've seen. It doesn't even require tools.

Unfortunately, the nearest Exxon/Mobil gas station is like 2 hours away from where I live. You're suggesting Exxon/Mobil premium for the additive cleaners right, not to give my Kizashi a bit more horsepower?
If I wasn't such a cheap bastard, I'd probably try Shell Premium instead. There are lots of those stations around where I live.
