I just had My radiator replaced at 33,000 miles. It had been leaking from that plastic protrusion at the top of the radiator since I bought it at 23,000 miles. I noticed the dried residue but I thought it was a vent. It also was leaking slowly from the cap on the plastic reservoir. The new radiator is fine but plastic cap on reservoir still has a slow leak even though I replaced the gasket. Coolant is at the low mark when engine is cold and only goes up slightly during normal operating temperature. Any suggestions for leak.

I don't think your issue is a leak in the normal sense. I'm also not sure what part you mean with, "plastic protrusion at the top of the radiator" unless you mean the mount for the radiator cap. The reservoir has a plastic protrusion with a hole in it because it's a breather. I suspect that you have boil-overs which pushes some coolant through the breather hole and/or the reservoir cap. Make sure your radiator cap (the metal one) is on properly and is holding pressure properly. If it's not, it will lower the boiling temperature of the coolant, making it much more likely to boil from normal driving. This boiling is likely causing the leaks through the areas you are noting.
