AC FLASHING AUTO
Hello, Bought this car less than a month ago (2010 Kizashi gts manual) and the ac has been flashing auto ever since. The lights on the climate control light up but are unresponsive. I cannot change any settings for the ac. I went to the mechanic and they scanned the codes but nothing came up(except for tpms). Does anybody have any solutions? I've changed the compress relay, climate control and the bcm.I also checked all fuses. None of those fixed the problem. If anybody has any idea what it might be please let me know.

The AC system in Kizashi is a complicated unit you need a good scan tool to diagnose properly.
you said you changed climate control I think you mean the climate control panel in the dash because the climate control main unit is hidden way back on your dash am I correct?

I use a standard Suzuki scan tool called SDT2 the original one used by the dealer but I use the clone one it works fine and has a bidirectional test for the climate control unit.
if there is no com with the AC unit check the CAN bus all communication is done through this bus.
I believe there is some magic button pushing you can do on the climate panel to get it to show codes
I will try and get the codes scanned with the correct scanner. Hey Bdleonard, I’ve tried the steps above and the first steps to check the code works but when I try to use the “history dtc” steps nothing happens so i cannot clear the code. 30.1 flashes on vfd when doing dtc code check.
I don't have any particular experience here, just access to the diagnostic info. The second pdf I posted with the codes points to 30.1 potentially being a wiring problem or short between the panel and control module.
I think that a failure to clear would just mean that it is a current active code, not a history code.

I remember having this exact problem, but I don’t remember it being anything other than a blown fuse. My suggestion would be to recheck all fuse positions, making sure there’s an actual fuse in the designated spot. There are three fuse box locations, but the last one is quite small over on the passenger side around the blower motor area. I know the power seat fuses are in. There might be a power source used there for the HVAC . With key on and engine off check all the fuses and the ones that have power make sure it has power on both sides of the fuse. Most of the fuses have a little bare spot on both sides of the top of the fuse.

Hey old tech, all the 20a mini fuses in the passenger side fuse box are missing. These fuses are for the power windows and battery fan. Do you think that could cause the problem? Car is currently at the mechanic so I would have to wait to check. There are no fuses in that box for the hvac specifically.
