Just crossed the 2900 mile mark on my 2012 SLS with AWD. So far, no problems and very satisfied. I have just two bigger complaints:
1. mileage could be better (just getting about 23/24 for mixed driving). I know this has been discussed extensively. I hope it will improve with more miles on the engine.
2. the front pillars are particularly wide, which obstructs the right/left view. This is further worsened by the large side mirrors. Awhile ago, I read a car reviewer who complained about this characteristic with the Volt. At the time, I did not really understand the criticism....I do now.

I agree that the pillars should have been moved back a little. But I'm used it since I have long legs and have to move my seat back quite a bit in most cars.

I think the front pillars are trending wider in a number of cars - makes the roof stronger. Saw that in the Buick Regal, for example. Need to get used to it. Drive a bit more carefully.

yes i feel the same way about obstruction of the view, and it has been bothering me quite a bit, especially when making sharp left turn

It was noticeable to me at first - but I got used to it - don't notice it any more.
