Is this a 'knock' or a paint fault? (pic)

Washed her by hand today, and noticed beneath right side headlight a good 2 inch long patch of black paint missing. Its literally lifted to undercoat. I think its an odd place for a knock, unless it was a car park brush with a shopping cart whilst I was in the store.

Im also thinking paint fault because as you can see the paint has sheared off like peeling off. tell me what you think. Am i covered by my Suzuki warranty? or do I have to go to a paint specialist to fix it? (the line is the reflection of car park paint on road)

Im not happy I also noticed the wheels starting to tarnish :?

I would vote something hit your car. It looks like it scratched it behind the chip. But a half vote for bad paint job since it remove so much paint without leaving a dent that I can see.

You could ask a dealership about it but it would probably boil down to if the service manger is in a good mood that day because it's a judgement call. I know it's sexist, but if you're an attractive lady wear something alluring, it might help sway his judgement. Good luck!

Nice....

PS: Don't overuse it or the effect might wear off. ;) :D

It sucks when your vehicle gets damaged like that. You might be able to get one of those mobile touch up businesses to fix it relatively cheaply? A positive point is as least it's not some metal part of the car which would have dented and then rusted.
