I recently traded my 2012 legacy for a used 2012 kizashi sport sls awd. Really enjoying the car so far.
I had a few posters in the "other" forum critize me for changing from a subaru to a suzuki saying im crazy. I don't care as I plan to keep my car for awhile (not worried about resale value) and really like this car. Reminds me of my 05 325xi with more features.
Anyways wanted to say hi.

Welcome, you made a wise decision. When I bought my 2012 Kizashi, I also considered to buy a 12 legacy or kizashi, at last, I took kizashi, and I am very happy with my decision.

I've owned two Subarus (including a Legacy wagon) in the past and think they are great cars, but the Kizashi is arguably better than the Legacy. The Kizashi's chassis is definitely tighter therefore the car handles better. I also would argue the interior of the Kizashi is a bit more upscale with better materials and execution. I remember going to an autoshow and thinking the Kizashi's interior most resembled that of an Acura. It definitely outclassed the Legacy and the bunch.
There is no comparison to their exteriors. The Kizashi is far more stylish and Subarus are a bit ugly these days.

Overall, Subaru has a very good reputation and the brand is gaining popularity. The Legacy has better engine options and a better AWD system, but for pure driving dynamics, the Kizashi is the better car.

Most people who think you are crazy for giving up the Legacy simply don't know much about the Kizashi. I bet most of them have never even checked one out in real life, let alone drive one. They merely associate the unpopularity of Suzuki and their North American demise with that of an inferior car compared to the Subaru Legacy. In terms of resale value, the Legacy is way better, but if you are going to hang on to the car, the Kizashi is more rewarding to own and more importantly, to drive.

In my opinion, the Suzuki Kizashi has the fit and finish of an Acura, the safety and durability of a Subaru, yet has the driving dynamics of a Mazda. A rare, but enviable combination if you ask me.

Don't know about the Legacy, but the Impreza seems to have a few little issues..http://www.autotrader.com/research/arti ... h-woes.jsp

Anyway, I hope to join the new owner club soon as well, but I'm still sticking to finding a good 6 speed manual GTS within 200 miles of where I live...and it's getting harder and harder. :(

Funny enough on my legacy the iphone I had would pair fine but once I got a new phone I had to set it up each time. It annoyed me because I use it alot. Liked the car but I feel the kizashi is a step above with better interior road handling and it is more rare.
Best of luck with your search.
