Has anyone had the chance to drive this car?

I pulled up next to one at a light yesterday and it took off like a rocket. Sporting a 3.8 V6 it has more than enough horses to keep me satisfied.

The only issue is that the car is Korean :(

Never driven it, but I did follow the exact same car for 45 minutes today in traffic. Blue 3.8 V6. Good looking car.

I believe there are two engines for the Genesis Coupe: a 2.0l Turbo and the 3.8l V6. Both make amble power and are RWD.

I would not worry too much that it's Korean. Korean cars were junk 15 years ago, but since, they have really shot up in quality and reliability. Now, they are generally as reliable as the average vehicle and better than most European cars.
Consumer Reports rates most of them as average in reliability. So basically, they are not up to Japanese reliability, but they are not bad either.

Personally, I don't like any of the Korean cars under the Genesis Coupe segment. I like the Genesis Coupe, the Genesis, the Azera, and the Equus. Not a fan of their cheaper cars. The new Santa Fe is a good looking SUV too. The Sonata looks nice, but I don't see a compelling reason to buy one over the competition.
KIAs are pretty much the same as Hyundais as Hyundai owns a huge portion of KIA.

Also, I have read that the Genesis Coupe's manual transmission is rather lousy and imprecise. Reviewers say it can cause mis-shifts. Other than that, I have not read bad things about the car.

I have a coworker who had one for about a year before trading it in for something with a real backseat. I rode in it a couple times, wasn't terribly impressed with the interior, and the ride was kinda choppy, (not terrible, but might get tiresome on bad pavement) and the performance was good but not great. (2.0T with auto trans and one of the reasons he got rid of it)

Basically I think they look cool, and probably perform well with the V6, but not really my cup of tea.

If I were to get another car, I would look at this vs. Mustang.

I doubt the Mustang would be as agile on the road.

Genesis Lateral G-Force 1.29
Mustang Lateral G-Force 1.31
... They should perform comparably well in handling.

I'm with Stodge; they drive fer-shitz.
Nice looking, though (he said laughingly, as if that matters to anyone but girlies).

Same-money performance?
Camaro.
