I was thinking about getting some of this

for mine when i paint my calipers red.. it is supposed to add an anodized finish to chrome or polished surfaces. My tail lights are not tinted so they will be red as well.

The MetalCast should work for the exhaust tips but I would be concerned about heat

As for the calipers, you'll definitely need heat resistant caliper paint or else it'll all flake off. I've tried engine enamel before and even that flaked off

the exhaust trim pieces dont come into contact with the actual exhaust.. thus no heat.. also the metalcast is good for 500 deg anyways. My question was is the look worth it

Looks good. I'm going with that smoke color topped with clear enamel as soon as I can find a place that sells it.

Not entirely true. Bumpers have melted near exhaust tips and they're not in direct contact either.

But 500 degrees should hold up to exhaust gasses, which are usually 300 degrees from what I know.

As for your "question," it's your car so do what you think is worthwhile ;) I personally think red exhaust tips will look extremely tacky
