It's like it's made out of glass or something. Haha!
Just wondering if anyone has changed their windshield? And if yes how much did it cost? A non rain sensing windshield from oemsuzukiparts is $655 (US). Way more $ than I want to spend!
It's like this car is a rock magnet! Anyone else noticed that this car gets hit with more flying debris than other cars you've owned? It seems (to me) something about the aerodynamics of the car ensure that whenever the vehicle in front of me throws up a rock (or some other road debris) it slams into the windshield - hard. It had a defect when I bought the car; now 3 months and 10,000 miles (all on paved roads) later it has 2 more chips and a crack. The crack started out 5 inches long but is up to 8 inches now and grows everytime I drive. It's just frustrating to replace something that's only going to wind up broken again.

Mine seems to be made of some indestructible material. Maybe it's that clear film (That I posted about and was a PITA to figure out why it was there) on the inside that does it? All I can say is glass is ordinarily fragile and that is why I have $0 deductible glass coverage on our vehicles.
2012 Kizashi SLS & a bunch of motorcycles.
Just had to replace a windshield due to a rock chip that could not be fixed with the epoxy treatment; it cracked when the treatment was being applied. I got out the door from Safelite with a touch under $500 and I have the rain sensor. Wasn't happy with the price and then my wife's SX4 just got a crack a day later. That'll be about $250. GAK!
Looks like I need to look into the $0 glass deductable.
