Yeah, the complexities of the CVT is very worrying. I don't have enough mileage to reach any conclusions yet but I'm hoping my CVT came from the same batch as WESHOOT2's, haha

I wish I could try out a manual Kizashi. If the shifter cable linkage bushings have hollow cavities, you could fill them with silicone or urethane to reinforce them. It'll take the slop out for a more direct engagement

I've seen kits sold for other more popular cars to replace their shifter bushings. I wonder if they may be compatible with the Kizashi's. I'd have to pull them out to measure/compare and contrast the design.

There's a good chance you may find a Nissan part that is a perfect fit. That would be pretty awesome for an upgrade from stock. 8-)
