When I bought my car I it was classed as pre registered. For those of you overseas (which is all of you I think) a pre reg car is as follows. A vehicle that is sold directly to the dealer, so the dealer is the first owner. This means that instead of the buyer using the dealer as an agent, who in turn takes a commission, the dealer sells the car to a member of the public, as would you or I. This means that the buyer doesn't pay VAT (purchase tax), the manufacturer and the dealer sell more cars, albeit the dealers margin is reduced. At the end of the day everyone is happy, especially the buyer.
So why is this relevant to the topic. After picking my car up from the dealer, which was two and a half hours away, and getting it home, I noticed a large stone chip that had been badly touched up. Yes, I know I should have seen this before leaving the dealer, but I didn't. Because the car was not classed as new, this meant I bought it as seen. I then decided on tracking down the paint. The local dealer wanted a small fortune for the touch up paint, so I went on ebay and amazon. A seller on amazon advertised colours for all cars and stated that their paint required no lacquer, and I should mention that it was half the price of the dealers. Two days later it arrived. I was surprised that I got two small pots, and not the one I thought I would get. After carefully applying a few coats, it looked worse than when I had started. I very carefully sanded off the paint and tried again, but to no avail. On the off chance I tried the 2nd pot. This time it matched the paint. It would appear that the white Kizi paintwork requires two different layers, despite the sellers description.
I thought I should mention this in case someone falls into the same trap. Anyway, it now looks 90% perfect.
Touch up paint
I think this is all dependent on who you get the touch-up paint from.
I highly recommend the place I've recommended a number of times already on the forum.
I have been a customer for my Black Pearl Metallic Kizashi and find it a perfect match.

Living in the UK I doubt that would be much good to me. However I followed the link, put in Suzuki, and there was no Kizashi listedKuroNekko wrote:I think this is all dependent on who you get the touch-up paint from.

Select "All Models" and then match via paint code. This worked well for me.paininthenuts wrote:Living in the UK I doubt that would be much good to me. However, given you do live outside North America, I'm not sure how viable a US-based supplier is in terms of cost.
