They raised parts are the light washers as it is a law that any cars with HID headlights need them so the light can focus properly apparently

nod - Its an Australian requirement. A bit odd in my view.. but a requirement all the same. Is this a requirement in other parts of the world - anyone?

Still, it's fun watching the shadow of the water jets in the ambient light of the HID's when you are driving and put the washers on ;-)

That's where the headlight washers appear from.

I don't think that's a requirement in the US for HIDs as far as I know. Cars definitely have them, but that's the first I've heard of them being required.

I was under the impression you guys already had the sports model, our Aussie sports has been available here only a couple weeks.
It is an XLS with AWD, plus different grill and side skirts with chrome accents, its lowered about 1/2", has different pattern and lighter 18" rims, leather gear shift & steering wheel plus a few more thiungs I can't think of now. Still get the sunroof, auto wipers and auto HID headlights, Rockford stereo, 10 position drivers seat with memory, and our Sport only comes with the CVT with paddles.
Its main difference is the sexy front grill / skirts/ AWD.
cheers Bob

The sport will be available as part of the 2011 lineup. IIRC, it is only on the GTS and SLS levels.

I know all about the sport, I'm just wondering if anybody has any info on when they are going to be released in the U.S. It was supposed to be released in August, but that obviously isn't going to happen. Edmunds doesn't even have pricing yet for the sport.
