Hey all...today we got a lot of snow...I didn't clear my driveway before I left. I pulled out of the garage and into the driveway, so the bottom of the car was basically sitting on the snow. When I finally pulled out...I noticed there was a greenish/yellow spot in the snow...anyone have thoughts on what fluid that might be? I have not had any leaks or anything that I know of...the car was in AWD...and I had to gas it to get it out of the driveway...
Thanks!
Frank
Yellow/Green Fluid?
I do have a dog...but she wasn't in my driveway...
So, CVT Fluid...that is a little nerve racking...where would it leak from?

Well it would be somewhere in the vicinity of the CVT. But I would not use a stain on the snow as a true indicator of a leak. Better to watch where you park. Snow can pick up all kinds of things when your car runs over it. It could have been a small amount of engine grime. Just watch areas you park in and of course the CVT fluid level.

I just had an inspection done at the dealer (last week). I called them and let them know what I saw...they said they didn't see any leaks when they inspected it, and that is something they check. So...they said to keep an eye on it. It is covered under the 7yr 100k mile warranty...so I am not super worried. The dealer is pretty solid...so they should take care of me.
