Nice Kizashi! I like it! Welcome to the board. At least I'm not the only new guy here. Though I don't have a Kizashi (yet) I am looking at one.

that car is a repo.... That is not normal to see. I would be slightly concerned about that one. Most of the time people that get cars repossessed aren't exactly great at taking care of things.

So the dealer out there bought it at auction out here. A lease repo to boot...even worse than an owner repo. Probably went through one of the auctions the company my brother works for owns. I'll ask him how an 'announced repo/unknown mileage' affects the bidding. He does pre and post sale inspections and is responsible for identifying and reporting all the nifty things w/ auction vehicles that sellers "forget" to disclose. My guess is that guy/dealer got that car for less than a song.

Have it checked out stem to stern by a competent mechanic. Check and see if a vehicle with unknown mileage on the title has a voided warranty. An unknown mileage on the title can be many things. I bought a car and when I was filling in the mileage on the transfer part of the title, my pen ran out of ink. I switched pens and wrote over the part that was getting very light. They rejected it at DMV as "altered". Even the supervisor there wouldn't accept the mileage. Now I have a title with mileage unknown on it.

Update:
I went and took the car for another drive and what a difference a month and 40 degrees warmer make. The first test drive the temp was -5F and the car performed just fine. 2nd test drive the temp was 35F and the car still performed fine but with the sun beating in the car you could tell the car had been smoked in once the car got warmed up and the heat cranking. The first drive when it was brutal cold, I did not notice the smell but this time the smell was there and this is something that's hard to get past. I know the guy is pretty willing to deal as he called me when I was on my way home and offered to have the car professionally cleaned and wanted to know if I would still be interested if he had it cleaned. Mechanically it checks out and drives like new but has anybody had success getting the hint of smoke out of a car?

Ozium is the best in my opinion, especially on smokey odors. My mother was a flight attendant back in the day when smoking was allowed on an airplane. This was the stuff they relied on and it works. Probably causes cancer, but you will smell good. I run the fan on recirculate and full blast, and spray the seats down and floor area. Then let circulate for about 5 min. Get in and smells brand new.

I use the Apple IPhone through Bluetooth for the Nav on a 2010 SLS, but the newer Garmins are powerful and all can work without a windshield mount. There is a little tray forward of the shift lever. They can sit down there and with the rakish windshield slope, they get great reception. You just don't need to mind turning your head down to glance at the Garmin. Then you can store the Garmin in the lidded box between the two front seats.
