Surprised you didn't get responses. But the answer is yes. they all seem to have thin paint jobs. and you do get lots of stone chips and scratches. I just loaded up on touch up paint(black) and keep at it.. but the car itself is greatmokster wrote:Does Your Kizashi has a thin Car paint..?
Lots of newer cars have thin paint. It's the new green process using water based paints.

The Kizashi's paint is crap. From the factory wheels, body, to even the "SUZUKI" on the engine's cover, the paint flakes off easily compared to any other car I know of. Suzuki spent a lot of time and money on the chassis and the interior of the car, but seemed to skimp on the paint.
Some colors are worse in chipping than others with black and red being among the worst. The silver appears to be the best against chipping (or noticing the damage?).

I have a fund set aside to repaint my front bumper + refinish my wheels. Frustrating, yes. But I've had cars with mechanical/electrical problems and I'll take paint issues over those any day.

My bumpers where destroyed (well I bougth it second hand like that) so I had them repainted, and got a small crash on the passenger side that was very good fixed.
Mine is Silver and the original paint has several chips.
I live in Chile so I guess the problem is global.

All Kizashis were made in exactly the same plant in Sagara, Japan so yes, the poor quality paint will affect all Kizashis unless Suzuki made differences for newer models.metallord wrote:My bumpers where destroyed (well I bougth it second hand like that) so I had them repainted, and got a small crash on the passenger side that was very good fixed.

Nekko, I know they all came from the same producrion plant. I said that because maybe transport, enviromental, external stuff, etc. can make the paint tend to chip more... Well just an idea...KuroNekko wrote:All Kizashis were made in exactly the same plant in Sagara, Japan so yes, the poor quality paint will affect all Kizashis unless Suzuki made differences for newer models.metallord wrote:My bumpers where destroyed (well I bougth it second hand like that) so I had them repainted, and got a small crash on the passenger side that was very good fixed.
