First full week under normal routine driving and I'm really digging the renegade! Mine has the 1.4L turbo, and along with the 6 speed, It moves so much faster than the Kizashi with the CVT. I really enjoy hearing the compressor spin up too. Mileage has been better than I expected so far. I don't mean in actual numbers, but in how long a tank lasts over the week. I typically drive 300 miles per week for work, and even with 4 gallons less to work with, I can get a week of normal driving. The last week was a blend of regular and whatever the dealer had in it. I'll be filling up with my norm, exxon regular today and getting a clearer picture on efficiency and performance by then end of next week. Drive is a mix of car and CUV. Handles the bad roads beautifully. I don't worry about hitting a pot holes now LOL. The FIAT 500 X influence can be felt when cornering. Not that I would do that crazy to begin with, I don't feel like it's going to tip over. Interior is basic, but functional although it lacks in storage spaces compared to the Kizashi. Also in refinement, but to be expected at this level. Rear leg room is almost non existent, not that I care. I'm completely satisfied so far. I think any of you Samurai lovers would instantly fall for this one.

Thanks for the update....how about some pics ? As far as ride goes, I agree with your assessment. Exactly the way I felt about the one I test drove. Can't say I share your enthusiasm as a Samurai owner/lover though

HaHa, Let me clarify my "enthusiasm" The only experience I ever had with Samuria was this thing you could barely call an automobile that my parents had in the Florida keys. It was in so bad of shape it was only used to haul fuel for the boat and the such. The relationship is only in basic design, of course fast forward 20 years and the renegade is what I would expect a Samuria to be like today. Did some MPG calculations and the trip computer is much more accurate then the kizashi. First week of normal commuting came in at 28MPG's by math and by display. The Kizashi was more like 25 or 26 in reality when the display said 28 to 29. Better than I was expecting. Next week will be better confirmation.
Here are some pics:

Nice...really like it in white. The few I've seen on the road around here are mostly black and a few of those goofy colors.
A modern day Samurai is the very capable Jimny. It's the replacement and other than not being offered as a convertible, its under-pinnings are very much Samurai-like with coils like today's TJ & JK Wranglers instead of leafs.
Good luck with it and please keep us informed of how things are going and the ownership experience.

1 Month in the Rene...MPG holding around 29. No really noticeable difference running regular exxon/mobile. Some cons would be lack of storage space (cubbies) and lackluster air flow from the climate system, specifically the center vents seem very light. I've remedied by shutting off the passenger areas, apparently it is common among other Rene's. I did find some ebay goodies (from china) that adds a storage tray to the arm rest cubby and I found this nifty sunglass holder you put in place of the silly grab bars they put above the window areas. Apparently this was created for BMW of all cars, and sales for over $50 in some cases for the original. I'm trying the $7 chinese version. We'll see how that works out. One area that still surprises me is the amount of torque that turbo can produce. Very content with that. Looking forward to trying out the 4x4 in some snow. Nothing has fallen that has stuck on roads yet.
