What kind of spray wax do you use? Brand, etc.KuroNekko wrote: ↑Tue Sep 19, 2023 12:31 am My paint is holding up very well. Of course, I have the chips from road debris on the front end but it's not horrible. As for sun damage, I don't see any despite my Kizashi is parked outside 100% of the time both at work and home. Only the headlights show UV damage but I polish it out every several months. I owe my paint condition to spray waxing that I do after just about every car wash since I've owned the car. When I lived in an apartment, I didn't have the option to hand wash the car so I had to resort to a DIY car wash where the brush scratched up the clear coat. I've been meaning to polish out the fine scratches but haven't had the time. That being said, spray wax that can be applied during towel drying after a wash has really kept the finish looking good with minimal extra time and effort. I know it's not as good as paste wax or the newer ceramic coating but regularly applied after car washes, it makes a huge difference, IMO. I'll post pictures after the next wash as the Kizashi is currently dirty. It's getting an oil change and tire rotation this weekend.

I'm honestly not very particular and found myself using the Turtle Wax - Wax and Dry spray the most. It's largely because it's most convenient to spray the product on a wet car and then dry in one process. It's relatively cheap but I've had great results. That being said, I'm currently using a Meguiar's spray wax.

Is that Meguiar's spray wax their Quik Wax from the Ultimate line? That's what I have; I used it both times I tried washing my car(s), because I ran out of time to do actual detailing lol. Applied really easily and left a nice glossy look for a spray wax, plus it held off light rain okay. It also attracted a lot of dust really quickly, although I read that's inherent in spray waxes.KuroNekko wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 5:52 pm I'm honestly not very particular and found myself using the Turtle Wax - Wax and Dry spray the most. I'm going to try Turtle Wax Ice's Seal & Shine later today. It's sort of a hybrid wax-sealant spray. For the price, it's said to be a really good and versatile product. Some even use it as a drying aid. It's probably worth a try when your Meguiar's runs out.

I know this thread has been largely neglected in a while but I spotted an ice blue Kizashi this morning with out-of-state license plates. I don't think I've seen one of these ice blue ones in CA yet so it really caught my eye. I think the last one I saw was back in the East Coast, if I'm not mistaken. They are so eye-catching as a beautiful unique color.
As for other sightings, there is a red one with roof racks like mine I've seen a few times at the city center. In fact, we tailed each other two times in the last couple months but I get the sense the driver of that Kizashi didn't notice or didn't care.

I've got a couple of YouTube car review cameos by the Kizashi that I've been sitting on for a while now, just never got around to screenshot the moments they happened. I can't help but wonder how many times the Kizashi has popped up randomly in the background of videos that I'll never see.
Oddly enough for this first one, I was literally wondering if I'd ever see a Kizashi show up in the background of a video, and not a few seconds later one shows up, gradually passing the reviewer's car at 21:40. The slow approach and pass reminds me of a shark casually swimming by lol.
The second spotting was iffy at first because it wasn't a clear look, but I compared it to a side profile image of a Kizashi and it did indeed match. The fender carrots and chrome trim on the low body is what initially caught my eye. Brief appearance is at 1:52. It's also in this channel's Bullitt Mustang video, which used this video's footage.
These videos are 5-6 years old now, and I can't help but wonder if these particular Kizashis have since had CVT failures. I'm assuming they're AWD (CVT) Kizashis because the videos are shot in Virginia and Illinois, respectively.
On a different note, a few months ago I spotted a yellow Suzuki Swift in traffic, coincidentally across the street from where I last saw a Kizashi. Too short of a moment to snap a picture, unfortunately.

Oops, I didn’t intend for the videos to embed like that. I had planned on writing the post on computer and uploading the screenshots from my phone. Second pic is zoomed in fwiw. It’s not as obviously a Kizashi without zoom.
