Greetings fellow Kizashi enthusiasts.
A tale as old as time, my 2013 Suzuki Kizashi's original transmission has blown out. Mechanic has estimated repair at $2500, getting a new transmission in.
- 150K miles
- bought in 2021, driven about 3k miles a year at most
- Prior to purchase, was an auction car
- New brakes on both axles as of Feb 2025 & brake fluid, engine oil, 4 new tires as of Dec 2024
- Front bumper has 1" crack on bottom middle, not visible until crouching in front
- No other paint/cosmetic damages (No cracked paint, marks, bumps, dings, broken glass, etc)
Driven fairly infrequently as I work from home, but wife was driving it and the transmission blew out while I was on a business trip. Not sure 100% what went wrong, mechanic only knows that the original CVT is done.
If anyone wants parts, scrap, or full sale, i'm open to it. I loved her for the 4 years, but I don't know CVT enough to fix it.
