Why is there a 5 hp decrease for the cvt

Is the power reduction an indication that the cvt is not the robust.if so that would make any power mods out of the question.

That's the story, but I find it hard to believe that 5hp is significant.

Stupid me ,obviously the 5hp drop is due to power needs of the transmission itself.

No, HP is always at the crank, not the wheels - otherwise all kinds of cars would have different ratings between manual and automatic versions

My guess is that JATCO Has a max HP rating of 180 for the JF011E CVT.
