2011 Suzuki Kizashi S quick drive
Yes I always retract the lumbar support in every car I drive as I'm more comfortable without it. I felt the seats were too firm this weekend, which I didn't feel in my first review. So maybe I was having an extra bad back day. I don't know.
Bad seat? I like the Kizzy's support. It's definitely more firm than the baralounger type on the GM products. Seats definitely are body specific. For example, I definitely fit into my old Saab 92x better after dropping 35 pounds. Now down 50 I find the Kizzy seat tends on slightly too big.

If the car is different than the one from last test drive, then most likely it's because this car is newer. Since less people (or never have people) sit at a new car before compare to a demo car, the seat usually is harder. I actually wish my seat is harder, too soft is bad for my back.
That's a good point. The original car had about 280km and the last two had about 28km. I'm not sure if that would make such a huge difference, but it's always possible.kizashi_VA wrote:If the car is different than the one from last test drive, then most likely it's because this car is newer. Related would be looking at the Dyno output of the Kizashi. You'd be looking to compare torque curves. The Kizashi's torque peaks at 4K RPM w/ 170 ft-lbs. Driving freeway speeds you'd be around 1700-1800 RPM.
My dealer offered to let me take a used Kizashi on a 24 hour test. I didn't take them up on it. But, it's something you can always ask. The worst they can do is say no.

I asked at the nearest dealer (only one other here but I don't have time to drive into the country) and they said no.
I took one out for a spin again tonight and I noticed a tremble in the CVT transmission as I came to a stop. Anyone notice this? I don't remember it happening during the last drive.

I did a couple of tests for you. 60-70 MPH, 70-80 MPH: I tried each 5 times and the times were 3-4 seconds. 60-80 MPH. Again tried 5 times. 1 6second the other 4 7seconds. That's hitting it hard and keeping in the 4K-5K range the whole time.
I used the stopwatch on my phone which only measures minutes and seconds.
