I see, I am gonna find some bulbs for the position light. Totally hate how I have white HID and right beside it there's a tiny yellow light....= =
Thanks for the reply!!

Looks nice! Any reason why you went with the hood deflector instead of the hood mask? I'm looking to get one and not sure which is better. My last car had a deflector so I'm fine with that and I think I heard somewhere that it's better since dirt and stuff can get under the mask and scratch the paint.
The main reason I got the deflector and not the mask is because of functional aerodynamics. The deflector is designed to create an airflow that helps to deflect bugs and other small debris from hitting the windshield (or at least not as hard). This means it would keep the car cleaner and the glass better protected from pitting, at least in theory.WIKizashi wrote:Looks nice! The deflector also functions to protect the nose of the hood from scratches, etc.
So I basically got it for its dual function and I also think it looks better than a mask.
I believe the mask covers more hood surface and offers a better level of protection, but I was interested in getting some aerodynamic deflection as well.

I got some LED replacement position bulbs while I was in Japan. I will post on them once I get around to installing them.Northernstar wrote:I see, I am gonna find some bulbs for the position light. Totally hate how I have white HID and right beside it there's a tiny yellow light....= =

lol, not yet. Haven't even bought the LEDs yet. I think I am gonna replace all the exterior lights to LEDs except high beam. Prob going to do that when spring comes.....it's too damn cold now lol
I scouted out the LED position light install on my car yesterday. It's going to require the whole headlight to come off (meaning removing the bumper) for there to be any room to install the bulb.
I will probably wait until I have to change my oil because I will have to raise the car on ramps to do so anyways. I can then get to the bottom bumper bolts easier.
I really wish changing the bulbs on this car was easier, but I think for the car to have its excellent rigidity in crash tests, the top cross frame had to be large and therefore block access to the headlight components.

I got the OEM hood nose mask last week and used it this weekend travelling in the country. Personal opinion is it was much better than a guard (on my last car). The car looked pretty nice with it on, the Suzuki imprint on it makes it look a lot more attractive. Looks to have caught a stone or two with no damage to the mask or the hood itself so im please. No stones bounce up the bonnet and hit the windshield aswell which is usually common on the roads I was on. Hope this helps someone

be aware of the bra / hood mask - I once had one in a 91 Honda CRX and loved it so much I decided to leave it on all the time - sun or rain, hot or cold and it eventually created a shadow/ stain in the hood that I could not get rid of. The bra was a genuine honda part - not a cheap one that would bleed and stain the car. I think you be ok if you remove it on a regular basis and clean /wax the area really good to prevent staining of the hood. good luck.
