Those prices in Australia are insane, but isn't the minimum wage there $16? That's around double the US, last time I checked.
It's all relative to one's economy.
Regardless, changing oil yourself is a very good skill that can be fun and save you a ton of money. You also get a heads-up on your car's condition as you can check things like tie rods, CV boots, etc. while you are under the car.
If you are older, disabled, etc. and don't want to get under the car, you should consider a suction pump. My father has one that he uses on his Jetta. You basically suck out the oil from the dipstick tube. It works well when you have the tubing go down right.
While I personally prefer to get under the car myself, this suction method is actually how Mercedes-Benz techs are trained to drain oil. I've done it myself on my dad's car and can attest that it works well if you do it right.
The pump is not cheap, but after about 5 oil changes, it pays for itself in savings.
It's not a bad idea considering that you don't need to get under the car to change the oil filter in the Kizashi unlike most other cars. With that in mind, the pump really can be beneficial.
