2014 Mustang or 2013 Kizashi GTS?

Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

Suzuki cancelled North American operations late last year for the US and a few months ago for Canada so I can't imagine that many, if at all, 2014 models came to NA. Even then, they would be no different from 2013s.

If none of those things are important to you, then you'll just be getting a younger version of the same car you have already..
For the US, the 6 speed manual was killed off in MY2013 for all trims except for the base S. It was previously offered in the GTS and SLS.

The new Ford Mustang is going to get an overhaul. In fact, it's going to Europe and will feature a new engine (4 cylinder turbo is rumored) for that market. It's also going to get independent rear suspension (finally).

I really don't think there are any 2014 Kizashi's in the U.S., or at least I haven't seen any in my almost daily nationwide searches. Even the few dealers still offering brand new models (including the hoarder in PA) only have 2013's...and most only have 2-3 left.

As far as the Stang goes, the turbo 4 should go over well in Europe (and as an optional engine here) but they better have plans for a V8 (GT500?) for the U.S. pony car fans...or at least a turbo V6.

Ya turbo V6 would be nice. Apparently the gas consumption difference between the V6 and V8 is minimal.

"How, and in what conditions, do I need to drive my vehicle? Do I need AWD to do so? Will rear drive work for the conditions I drive in?"

And "Can I afford both?"

Well, it depends on your needs. Performance-wise, the Mustang wins hands down.
The issue is that you live in Canada so winters pose a serious driving concern. Is your Kizashi AWD? If so, you are going from one of the best winter handling set-ups (Front engine, AWD) to the worst (Front engine, RWD). The convertible is also fabric, not hard top so the weather will beat down on it unless it's garaged.

I am not sure if you have kids or regularly use the rear seats, but a coupe is no fun if you have to access the back seats often. The girl I sold my old Mazda3 to mainly wanted it to get back into a Mazda3 (she previously owned one) because her current RSX was miserable for loading a baby seat in the back. The 4 doors made a huge difference in convenience for a person with a young child.

So it's ultimately up to you and your needs. I can't say one car is much better than the other because they are quite different. The Mustang is going to be more fun, but the Kizashi is far more practical.

Uhh..what does that translate to in US dollars? If it's even close to $18k US then do it if you only have to pay $5-6k out of pocket after trade-in...but something tells me that won't be the case. ;)

Wait...what? $40k is getting into Boss 302 territory, but you're talking about a V6 stang for that kind of money?
