Anything related to the Kizashi can go here, but please look at the other headings first. Your topic may fit better under something else.

I then did some research across several different forums and purchased a set of Morimoto HIDs. I spent around 170.00 for my 4300k 35 watt kit. They are higher quality than anything else I have purchased. The kit comes with a heavy duty harness and relay which hooks up to the battery. You also ground each headlight to the car. The kit has a plug for the existing wiring harness to tell the headlights when to come on. So there is no need to install a separate switch. The install was pretty straight forward and I am very happy with my choice. I purchased them from http://www.theretrofitsource.com. They are based out of Atlanta. All of their lighting is covered for 5 years. ;)
Good find. These look legit and the price is rather good.
Are they made in Japan? With a name like Morimoto, I would assume so.

I am going to assume that they are made in China, most things are now. But I am not sure. All I can say is that the Kit is very good quality and the company is reputable. :D

Mine were mounted on the frame, under the headlight. The ballasts came with mounts that could be bolted onto the car. I have a photo somewhere and I will post it once I am home.

On my old Mazda, I actually used 3M double sided tape and stuck the ballast directly under the headlight on a flat surface. The tape is strong so the ballasts stayed there.

My Kizashi's fog lights are also HID and those ballasts are not actually mounted. They are suspended, but the zip ties that hold the wiring together keep the ballasts from moving around too much.

Thanks for the picture! Did you notice a significant difference with the HIDs? The projectors already do a decent job with halogens

I bought my car lightly used and it came with these HID kits. I actually never used the Kizashi's halogen low beams.
The projector does do a good job with the HID's beam, but the best beam is achieved through a retrofit of a HID's projector lens in the headlight. However, this is not worth it for many people because it requires buying a retrofit projector and then baking and opening up the headlight to swap out the original halogen projectors for the retrofit HID projectors.

I am okay with the stock projectors with the HIDs. They give off a great amount of light, but don't blind oncoming traffic because I am careful with the aim and cut-off. However, when I compare the beam to luxury cars, I can see how a real HID projector lens is better and gives the beam a very crisp output on the road.
