I think I saw some of the other Kizashi's on the German forum with this mat. I'm guessing that the center square pieces is a type of foam that keeps things from sliding?TwinBeat wrote:I am getting this one in a few days:
Trunk Floor Liner
I can't transport anything like that without boxes seatbelted in the passenger compartment.TwinBeat wrote:Yes ... and yes.
I had to transport some prepared food for our christmas dinner and wished i had something like that in my car that day. Next time i am geared up for such a task.

I even have to seatbelt in groceries or put them on the floorboards.

Yes... Weihnachten was great as ever and my trunk stayed clean... against all odds.

Sweet! Post pics for sure.DesRado wrote:Trunk liner came in today. Will let you all know how it fits once I install it.

Your English is excellent TwinBeat. I get a slight feeling that English is your second language when reading it, but you're perfectly understandable.

Before: Nice factory trunk mat that I didn't want to get destroyed over time, or one simple spill. Not sure if normal, but the right pocket (right by the opening on the floor under the back light) was not fully covered and left some bare metal showing. Bad fitting either way.
After: : Not Suzuki branded but I don't really mind. The crease in the middle is from the mat being stored in a box for who knows how long-- folded in half. I'm hoping it'll flatten out over time. The edges are raised to keep any liquids or solids from escaping onto the trunk floor and into the spare wheel well. Have not driven it since I put the liner in because of this but will let you all know if the liner keeps items from sliding around. Hoping it does, but at the same time the type of rubber seems too hard to really grip and hold anything still.
That mat is pretty much a twin of the Suzuki one. The Suzuki one is also a hard-ish rubber, but it has quite a bit of flex so stuff does tend to stay in place if it has any weight.DesRado wrote:

That's some serious ice on the car! How bad were the roads?
