Suzuki Factory Parts Catalog for Kizashi 2010-2012. p/n 99924-88470-003. Not likely to be easily found, I dunno. Didn't even know one existed until my Ex-dealer's service center parts guy pulled it off his reference shelf and handed it to me (we go waaay back). He has online direct access to Suzuki so he really has no need for it. A decade or so ago he pulled their factory Samurai parts book off the same shelf and let me have that one. They hadn't seen a Samurai in there in forever prior to that day. Again, he had no need for it. Those I knew existed in paper form.
Anyway, wow, there's a pile of different steering wheels. As always, nothing is simple or easy anymore. My parts book only goes to 2012, soooo, anyone's guess if the 2013s are the same as the 2012s or not. I'd guess not based upon the previous listed. ...ya ready?

My parts book only goes up to 2012, soooo, anyone's guess if the 2013s are the same as the 2012s or not. Possibly since they probably weren't making anymore changes since the writing was on the wall for the car's future.
Mind boggling. As I'd guessed, the airbag unit is in fact the same unit across all years/models up to, again, 2012. Wiring harnesses...fagedaboudit...6 pages. My head's spinning looking at the diagrams. Too many p/n's to count. Impossible which one(s) actually connect to the steering wheel.
This is why the parts guy always looks up my VIN when I go see him before he even asks me what I need...Suzuki site only shows him what's specifically in/for MY car. And, p/n's change over time, so my book's info can be obsolete.

When I swaped my wife's thin sx4 wheel for a thicker swift sport one, the controls and everything just changed over without a hiccup
The base sx4 has all the wiring looms in place whether you have the controls/driving lights on the car or not.

This is not complicated. Put on the Kizashi steering wheel you want, with the buttons you want, and the buttons will all work with 2 exceptions: The paddle shift levers will do nothing if you have a manual transmission (obviously), the Bluetooth buttons will only work if your car has one of the Bluetooth stereos.Gange wrote:Thanks for the info mate

Variations I'm aware of, which exist in different combinations: paddle shifters, leather wrapped, cruise control, and Bluetooth. As far as I know, all of them have the stereo controls built in and use the same air bag.

It's plug and play with the exception of BT.
If you have a CVT and want paddle shifters, get a wheel with the paddle shifters.
If you have a base MT with no Cruise, get a wheel with cruise.
If you have a plastic wheel and want a leather wrapped one, upgrade. The airbag assy will swap right over.

One more steering wheel type: I don't know about the GTS models, but the SLS models come with steering wheels with perforated leather at 3 & 9. It's purely cosmetic, but I think it's nice.
As for the control activation, I was wondering about that a few months ago. There was a 6MT Kizashi in my area with no cruise controls and I was worried that it would require an ECU setting or some nonsense in addition to possibly missing any additional connectors to get the cruise controls to work after swapping in the new steering wheel. Go to know that every Kizashi should be able to use any other steering wheel.
