So those who've followed know I sell new Hondas at a dealership that also offers BMW, Mercedes, and Mini.
Our new BMW salesman has a SLS Kizashi; we park them side by side.
Where's that emoticon for giving the A4 and 325 and the C-Class the finger?

Last tank 28.7 MPG; tank before that 28.1 MPG. Less warm-up time, and only Mobil premium. Plenty of right-footin', so I feel blessed.
Man this thing pulls hard from 70 MPH.......
Our "epic" storm is coming, and I look forward to conquering the deep snow.
At speed.

WESHOOT - what is your average speed on a normal tank? I am getting 22 MPG on average and I am not driving fast what so ever...I have been told I should have the computer looked at. Any thoughts?

Fair question, but since my driving environment and style can vary so vastly through a full fuel tank I cannot offer an answer that makes sense.
Some times I just cruise.....other times I mash heavily on the go-pedal; rarely do I extend common sense and socially acceptable driving behavior throughout a full tank.
I can't help myself.
But if you check my gas mileage reports sprinkled through this thread you'll read about MY mileage that's varied from just under 24 MPG to just over 32 MPG. It is about your environment and style that makes the biggest difference.
I suggest Mobil premium and a long easy road-trip to help you determine what your car and style are capable of.

In my opinion, the Avg speed on your dash computer isn't necessarily correlated to fuel economy. If you drive a lot in the city and live in a hilly area, your average speed will be relatively low, but so will fuel economy.

"Average speed" gets determined by the miles driven in a specified time.
That's how I figure it.
"MPG" gets figured by dividing the miles driven by the gallons fueled.
That's how I figure it.
Idle time wreaks havoc on average speed, ay?

I have been getting subpar fuel economy even though I feel I practice non-agressive driving with conservative hypermiling, never accelerate hard from stop, brake as little as possible, cruise and coast as much as possible. I average to 20-22 mpg (mostly city / suburb with some highway), very different from other forum members who are getting 24+ mixed. But after much inquiry, their dash-displayed average speed is about 35ish mph, while mine is averaging 22 mph. So I can only conclude that I am actually stopping/idling a lot more frequently than I thought and probably more than the EPA city driving condition... at least that's what I hope (or I just have a lemon sigh)

It may help to reset the mpg next time you are heading on a trip where you will be highway cruising 55-75 mph for at least half an hour. You just hold down the button when you cick to mpg and it will reset, same for " avg. speed" , which I also reset when I do the mpg.
