2-1-17...
Re-Road-Force balanced the new-ish set of tires. For the first 4k miles now they didn't seem quite right at 70mph and up. Cross-rotated them for the first time over the weekend and the vibes became slightly more noticeable at 55 and up with the rears moved to the front.
Silky smooth now up to 110ish on a freshly milled and trued stretch of concrete highway. 3 of the 4 were off to some minor degree. The fourth was way off and must have thrown a sticky weight early on after the original mount-n-balance.

Threw the old tire chains on for the first time in like 5 years.

Tire chains? Interesting...did you feed the need for it?

Pulled the engine/trans bay's plastic under-covers off in preparation for the warranty t-case seal replacement tomorrow. It's leaking pretty good now. Cover had a pool of gear oil on it. Repaired the cracked passenger side undercover w/ ABS glue and HVAC foil duct tape.

Changed my oil, washed, vacuumed and wiped down the interior. Needs a claybar but I've never done it before. Everything dry as a bone underneath. Next oil change I'll need to flush the coolant and replace the serpentine belt. Was 80 degrees here in SE Virginia yesterday. 47 today.

Also changed the oil in the wife's Odyssey. Both inner CV joint boots leaking where they are clamped around the axle. Will have to replace them soon. Strange. Never saw boots leak there. Split boots, yes. Leaking around the clamps, no.

Tighten the boot clamps if possible and let it ride. If they're not making noises, or leaking to the point of spotting your floor, no point in wasting $$ replacing them just yet. Unless, of course, they're still under some kind of warranty.

Thanks. No warranty on this '05. Joint grease the worst when it gets to slinging around.

I plowed into about 15-20 cm of snow...my street was not cleaned yet and I had to leave for work as we are considered an ''essential service''..BS lol ...a Grand Caravan cab was stuck in my street...drifted around it. I love my Kizashi and I love it even more when it snows. I feel like I can get through any snow storm with that beast!! I am planning on keeping the car for another few years, but I would like to be able to buy another brand new one! Common Toyota... help Suzuki. I was actually following a Subaru 2016 or 2017 WRX in a snow storm the other day and I had the impression he was struggling a little bit...not much just like a slight hesitation, but the Kizashi was not spinning at all or anything.
