Oh they are definitely out there, but they are almost 200$ each. Since all my covers are now broken or missing and that replacing them is pointless considering they will face the same fate, I was contemplating coming up with a template and eventually get really thin aluminum skidplates. Actually I might do that today...

Got to drive their 2009 911 4S Cabriolet with PDK and the alphabet-soup of fast-options. Wife got to drive it, too (but of course, the FIRST thing she said was "Can we put the top down?", seeing as it was 81F).
Fast, brakes like anchors, flat.
Too fast for road-fun.
Off my list, kinda-maybe.
The new AWD Mazda 3 sedan has piqued me interest, though......

Just had a FWD 2019 Mazda 3 HB 2.5 SkyActiv-G as a loaner Friday through yesterday whist the CX5 was in for annual inspection. NICE car. Shoulda snapped a pic as it was that beautiful $$ Soul Red color that really comes alive and looks almost like liquid when the sun hits it. Quick, nimble, super quiet and comfortable interior. Very, very nice inside. Has a road feel very similar to the Kiz (at least when it was newer). Hated to give it up. In AWD flavor, I'm in, no question. If it had been AWD I might have tried to barter a deal when I went to retrieve the CX5 yesterday afternoon. All the techno BS aside, a driver's ride for sure. Highly recommend you find an AWD variant and give it whirl. Ground clearance will continue to be an issue for you however.

And there's ongoing rumors of future versions with more motor in store.....
The beam rear axle bothers me a bit, but I'll find out during a test drive (that WILL include dirt roads).

Currently I'm running BrakePerformance.com drilled rotors and their pads on the back, stock up front.
I've used their drilled/slotted 4-wheel set on the last one.
The one before got the slotted SP Performance set.
For THIS one, I'm kinda planning to try the StopTech slotted set for the front. Rears matter less; weight transfer and all.

Then thought I'd ask you since I know you've gone through a set or two.
My brother just today dropped off a full set of plain vanilla PowerStop pads and Centric OE rotors for my wife's SX4 he's had sitting around for about three years from his lady friend's SX4 he never installed. He swears by the pads and has them on his TrailBlazer for 4+ years now. That vid has me concerned about any 'newly made' pads by StopTech now.

Frankly, the SP Performance set was very good, as was the BrakePerformance drilled/slotted.
EBC and Stoptech get mentioned together, so I may try the less expensive choice when it's time.
I'm happy with the drilled rears from BrakePerformance; I get them with the included pads.
