So yesterday we put fresh wax on the sport 18s and got them prepped for tire changing in a nearby parking lot. But we went to the parking lot and found it packed. :? So we went to another one--same thing. Another one--same thing. And then we turned the corner and found out we have a full-out beach right nearby! There must have been 600-1000 people out in bathing suits, playing volleyball on what looked like 30 different courts, frisbee, tossing football, etc.!

Since we couldn't find parking anyways, we ditched the idea to change the tires and got into some beachwear instead. :mrgreen:

But in the next hour or so, the new Bridgestones will be on (at least the front two). :drive: I can't wait to drive on these pencil erasers. :mrgreen:

200 mile round trip to see my elderly parents. Parents are very old, and not in the best of health, but Kizi was great. 38.8 mpg at a steady 70 mph, not bad

Went back to the parking lot early this morning and changed the front wheels. They were rusted on! Looked under the car and found other parts starting to rust. :( I need to apply some fluidfilm during the winter to keep the salt off, and some pbbblaster to the already rusted parts to get them back to normal.

Will be waxing the winter wheels and putting them on storage as well as swapping the back set shortly.

Also discovered a golf course nearby with lawn bowling that we didn't know about. And this is 30 seconds away from the beach we found. 8-)

The rolling resistance seems A LOT better on the Bridgestones vs the winter set (expected). The turn-in seems a bit sharper with the Bridgestones vs the Dunlops, but I don't know if I can really judge this since I haven't driven on the Dunlops in months. I can't wait for the Bridgestones to bed in so I can start pushing them. :twisted:

I have used PBblaster to free rusted stuff. Does it retard rust?

I used it on my rusted Altima header bolts to get the stock header off. After I removed the header and the bolts, I laid everything out just as I had removed it in case I had to put anything back.

After a week, I noticed these black streaks on the rusted stock header sitting on the ground. I thought they were indicating some sort of leak that was there prior to removal. Upon closer inspection, it was where the PBBlaster that had dripped onto the header from the bolts had completed restored the rusted sections back into iron. 8-) I've used it to reverse rust damage ever since. My hubs needed it BAD. That and the rear sway bar end links--those looked horrible!

Pushed the Bridgestones a bit today in a corner and took them on the highway. I really like them so far.

Saw the tpms light finally come on. I'll have to work on that tomorrow.

We have the re760 sports.

It's interesting we can get the re050 for our car. These are an oem spec performance tire as well, but I liked the all-out performance orientation of the re760.
