You're lucky I suppose or drive on perfect roads. I had a sport tuned Alignment done as soon as I took mine off the lot and get an alignment done with every oil change (Lifetime service). At 25K miles, 3 out of the 4 tires wore out and required new ones. I can't blame the alignment there. My driving style on back curvy roads probably played a big part in it. 8-)

Ok, so the shaking problem continued after the second visit to the Lincoln dealer. I went to the local STS Tire. The tech there said that all four tires had been improperly balanced and also showed me the condition of the wheels on their machine. $63 extra spent. But problem seems to have been solved. Guess I should have gone there first, then gone to the dealer to have the TPMS programmed at $65.

Shaking problem solved, I think I detect in the Goodyear LS-1 tires vis-a-vis the Dunlops a very slightly quieter ride, a slight bit more lean on curves (perhaps the shoulder block and compound of the Dunlops pushes against lean), and a little less rolling resistance (should lead to .2 or so more gas mileage). All on dry except for tonight; a bit of wet pavement gave nothing to worry about in relatively conservative driving. We will see. But the Kizahsi is again very fun to drive.

Took care of the sticky guide pins on the rear brakes, and installed 65W Osram H7 Raylle (knockoff?) bulbs from eBay into the hi and lo beams. I decided to go easy on the rear shock bump stops, so I don't know what the rear shock condition is like. I'll just wait it out and see what's what.

Washed and quickly waxed with a cleaner wax. Not aggressive enough to correct swirls but it'll do.

Beautiful car bootymac! I just want to follow up on my LS-2 Goodyear tire purchase above for my FWD. Really not anything bad so far. Again, compared to the OE Dunlops inflated equivalently I think I perceive the car has a bit more lean in high speed turns with a tad more understeer /less oversteer (perhaps more forgiving). No problems perceived in wet. For $84 from Tire Rack, hard to beat.
Also today I saw on Amazon that the same tire is only $86 from Amazon and has FREE SHIPPING. That would have saved me $60 on my six tire purchase. I guess the moral of my story is that we should not assume Tire Rack has the best shipped prices even where heavily discounted.

Torrential rain and flooding here in SE Virginia on Monday. No way home from work except through some major huge and deep puddles. I estimate one I went through (foolishly) was probably about 15 inches deep and a couple hundred feet wide. My lower grill all the way to the plate had leaves and pine straw that I had to clean out. However, the engine compartment was spotless.

Replaced both my headlights on Saturday. Removing the bumper is way easier than trying to find a way to get to from under the hood. I've tried both ways and removing the bumper is not hard. There may have been a couple of screws that were missed on the video that is posted here. There's a screw that needs to be removed at the bottom of the bumper. It may only be on the SLS and GTS since they have a different bumper than the S and SE. It's quite possible that the car on the video was an S or SE. Everything went back together as good as new. One other tip: When putting the headlight assembly back in, make sure that you slide it under the fender. It was easy to not notice that I had slid it over the top of the fender while paying attention to making other parts fit correctly.

When doing stuff like that I put some vinyl duct tape (50mm wide) over the fender edges where the bar might rub/ scratch. It helps protect the paint from getting damaged.
