With more time behind the wheel, I can attest that the new transfer case and rear diff fluid definitely made a difference. The car feels a lot more refined now with a quieter and smoother drivetrain. Others have noticed this as well. And fuel efficiency has already improved by 1 mpg in city driving!

I wish I had ditched the factory fill earlier :drive:

More feedback after the fluid change.

Last winter, I commented that I didn't really feel the AWD do anything, even in the snow. Now, it's the complete opposite. The AWD system is way more sensitive and I can feel the rear wheels pushing a lot more, even in dry conditions. This is especially noticeable when accelerating from a standstill: FWD mode feels like you're being pulled and the car squats back while AWD mode feels like you're being pushed from behind and the car remains flatter.

It feels incredible and I never want to drive in FWD mode now :D

Maybe the AWD controller is programmed for a break in period? I did just rolled over 15k km (hence the fluid change).

Pulled it out of the garage today to give it a romp to work and back. Last week gave it a bath before putting it in the garage. Exciting aye?

Posted in another thread too, but it's what I did yesterday. Ordered and installed:
Reverse lights
Tail Lights
Turn signal: NOTE: These are not compatible with the Kizashi. The pins don't line up as they are 180 and need to be something like 150 or so They do however fit in the socket and turn on but there is nothing to secure them in the housing.
Edit:
Reverse light close
Reverse Light real close
Reverse light distance
They are bright! Almost like a rear facing fog light. The color is pure white, if they don't have a tiny bit of bluish tinge to them... difficult to tell.

Comparison of LED vs standard bulb. The photos were taken after I put them in, so around 430-5pm and the sun was still out.

Ah yes, the pin situation on the rear turning bulb, I honestly forgot about that. Most of the bulb guides seem to have this wrong. I ended up modding the bulb receptor to take the LED. Very easy. Just scrapped some plastic away and it held the bulb perfectly, and has held for 3 years now. I would have to look up my notes on this, but I believe the correct bulb is the same as the front. Not sure now as I did this 3 years ago.

No pictures of the reverse lights yet, Couldn't find my tripod and can't really grab a photo of reverse in a manual trans by yourself lol.
Turn the ignition on, but not the engine. This is the mode where the dash lights illuminate and the HVAC works but the engine is not on. Put the gear in reverse. It should illuminate the reverse lights. This way, you can get out and see the reverse lights without the engine running. This should work.

Thanks for the tip, didn't know that. Was going to update last night but my power went out due to high winds and trees (not a good mix).

Here are the reverse lights!

Reverse light real close

Also managed to get my windows tinted 8-) (darkest legal tint in VA is 50% front, 35% rear which is what this is):

I really like the output of those leds for the reversing lights. Took a look at the rear light assembly and for the life of me I can't figure out how you get that bulb out of there. Do you just twist those two tabs counter clockwise? If so my big fingers will get in the way...

If I recall correctly, the driver side bulb turns towards the center of the trunk (really awkward to grasp, even more difficult to put back in and lock it). The passenger bulb should turn towards the passenger side of the car (so same direction). Passenger bulb was much easier for me to switch.
