I don't think there have been any reports of that yet. It was typically the models built early on, but there were a few cars that recently had problems.

Suzuki is repainting without to much hassle

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well after a few phone calls and 1 inspection by a suzuki rep, they agreed that the paint should not look like that so soon. So they are repainting my bumper, hood and mirrors. I was pleased and surprised, but even the body shop manager told me that it wouldn't last, especially in a heavy road debris environment like new jersey. Anyhoo I'll just get the bra on it after the paint and be done with it. Now you all know its weekness, be aware. BTW calling Suzuki of America in advance really helped. The actually set up the rep before I knew it.

Update:

Was in last week for a service on the recall and had the service manager look at the paint chipping. He agreed it looked horrible and would look into it. He called me later that day and wanted me to bring the car back in today for a Suzuki Rep to look at it and snap some pics of it. Well, took it in today, the Rep comes out to me after about 10 minutes and says they are repainting the entire car! What a great feeling! He was very apologetic, said it would be done at my convenience and would provide me with a car while it was being repainted. I am glad Suzuki is stepping up and taking care of this issue.

That is good news that wasn't happening early on with this issue.

Just bothered to go through the whole thread because I have just noticed this problem on a Black Canadian Kizashi. Will try for the same luck with Suzuki Canada as you guys have had with Suzuki USA. Please Canadians out there, please contact Suzuki if you have problems. I hope our car can be fully resprayed as well seeing as none of the dealers in my area have touch up paint.

That's horrible, but hopefully the hail will allow you to repaint the entire car? There are many reasons not to shop at Walmart... but disrespectful irresponsible shoppers dinging your nice ride is #1. I hate that store.

I have a azure gray SLS that I have owned for 12 months now and I detailed the hell out of it last weekend and have a total of 5-8 chips. I have a couple pinhead sized ones on the hood and some very small ones on that common area at the bottom of the doors. While annoying, I wouldn't consider any of the chips abnormal thus far. I'm going to get some matching paint & clear coat to make sure they don't get bigger though. So far I've either been lucky or my Kiz was painted after they corrected the problem. I did find a nice little door scratch from some jerk that parked next to me. :x

I feel really bad for all of you having to deal with the paint issue... I'm surprised Suzuki would make you go through all those loops when they know that the paint issue is a common one. I had to fight like hell to get my amp fixed, and that was just an amp.

Suzuki needs to up their customer care if they want to succeed here in the states.
