Hello all,

This was a great experience for me to be a part of your forum, and I thank everyone for their input, advice, and online comraderie.

My two weeks of partial ownership of the Kizashi has ended bitter sweetly for me.
Let me explain. Two weeks and some change ago, I bought a used 2011 Kizashi Sport GTS CVT with NAV. I "bought" it on tuesday and was scheduled to come back after it was detailed and prepped on Firday for me to pick it up and drive away. When I got there on Firday the car was backed into a wall and had damage to the rear passenger door. It was also discovered that the bumper was scratched as well. I demanded it to be fixed and not discounted. They agreed to fix bumper and door. they gave me the car to drive around for a week and some change before the repairs were to begin. So I got a really nice extended test drive.
They took the car last wednesday and on Friday I went to get the Kiz. They only fixed half of the damage and said that because I got such a good deal on the car they would lose money if they did the bumper. Furious, I walked away and left the Kizzy behind.
I am glad I had the test drive. I wasn't a huge fan of the CVT, but it was growing on me quickly. I liked the car for its uniqueness and styling, as well as the bluetooth and NAV package. I just really liked how the car "felt", if that makes sense.
Over the weekend I bought a 2011 Honda CRZ. If you followed any of my posts you would see that MPG fuel economy was HUGE for me. The CRZ has all the bells and whistles of my former kizzy as well as it being a manual tranny which makes it quicker than the kizzy which I liked. I am enjoying the 40+ MPG I have been getting, as well as the uniqueness of the car. Not quite as rare as the kizzy, but I still like the looks I get.
I am fortunate to have had the test drive. It enabled me to find my priorites in the car. At first I thought that ride feel was the most important with fuel economy in second place. Turns out that the priorities for me were reversed.
Again,

Thanks to all for your help. When the KIzzy gets revamped in 2014 I may be back on the forums again chatting, until now I will just read all the posts about the kizzy. And sit on the sidelines.

A shout out to blackbelt, northernstar, and mnsls for their help as well. Good luck guys!

Based on your experience, I would have walked also...if that dealership had the gall to treat you that way during the sale, you would have been crazy to take delivery on it.

Good luck!

Wow what a bad dealer. You damaged it, you fix it. That simple.

Not all Suzuki deals are like that. I did have a front headlight go out on my 2010 SLS. I called them up and they made an appointment. They noticed the front yellow light was filled with water. They told me they had some on the way and slotted me in. Overall those two items took about 2 hours and they charged me $0.

Stop back next week. I'm doing my 2nd test of Premium. I'm trying to keep my path relatively the same as last week's driving. It'll be interesting to see if the Premium changes anything.

Congrats on the Honda CRZ. Hopefully the Honda dealer won't crash it.

good luck. Maybe I will have to go test drive a CRZ some day. I wasn't overly impressed the last time I looked at it, but that what because I was comparing its driving characteristics to the old crx. Interior wise it is no contest.

Certainly agreed that Ehibb's dealer gave bad service, but I don't recall Ehibb saying it actually was a Suzuki dealer. It was a used 2011 Kizashi and from the nature of Ehibb's questions, I thought he was not comparing other Kizashis to it.
If it was a Suzuki dealer that damaged the car, shame shame on that dealer -- and the dealer should be called out here.
Anyway, Ehibb, thank you for participating and asking stimulating questions. Best of luck with your new purchase. Stop by again sometime.

It was not a suzuki dealer. The dealership was about an hour north of where I live.
It is Milham Ford, Toyota, and Scion in Easton Pennsylvania. Avoid this place at all costs. The issues with the damage on the car were just the beginning. They also messed up my paper work and accidentally charged my credit card for the rental they gave me while the kizashi was being repaired.
The staff was clueless and the issue was even brought to the attention of the owner who turned out to be just as big of an ass. AVOID!
