Hi. New member in MN. 2012 SLS Azure Gray. I'm just wondering if any Suzuki executives or designers have ever posted the club about Kizashi special design or styling attributes. I think it would be great to hear right from the source.

I highly doubt it given that the Kizashi is a 100% Suzuki car and that Suzuki is a Japanese company. I am willing to bet that all the engineers behind the Kizashi are Japanese in Japan.

Anyhow, here are some videos regarding the development of the Kizashi I've seen before.

The first one is kind of like a weird ad from the UK with lame actors and an over-the-top "stimulate your senses" motif, but around the 00:50 mark, they actually incorporate clips of interviews with the Japanese engineers who actually designed the car. This is the closest thing to seeing the people who designed it that I have come across.

This second one is obviously from American Suzuki Motor Corp. I have great doubts they were involved in the development of this Made in Japan global car, but they talk in detail about the development such as in the chassis and testing on Germany's famous Nurburgring.

I watched these videos quite a bit before deciding to seek out and buy a Kizashi. The development story behind the Kizashi is quite impressive compared to appliance-type midsizes like the CamCord.

If you watch the first video carefully, at the 1:21 mark, you see the Kizashi's getting snow tested. Look at the tail lights. Clear tail lights! The prototype had clear tail lights much like a Mazda CX-7 (oddly, similar in shape too).
I checked the Japan-spec Kizashi, but they have the same tail lights as the US and all others I've seen. They must have been eliminated for the production model.
