When I got my '12 Kiz it had noticible hard water stains in each one of the spaces on the front grille.
Tried using a cordless drill with a homemade buffer contraption (old sheepskin piece wrapped around a chopstick) and some cleaner wax to get in those holes but the stains are still there. It's something I'm not too bothered by but looking to find something I can use to get the stains off without scratching the plastic finish. I'm at fault too as I get lazy and don't completely dry out the grille after I'm done washing.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks.

Would something like "Tar and Bug Remover" work? A few different companies make polishes for that type of problem. I think there would even be specific compounds for water mark as it's a common problem.
The best thing I ever did was put in a rainwater tank and pressure pump on the house. I can wash the car and don't get any water marks (I only chamois the windows dry.)

Thanks. Looks like I've got type II stains. Gonna try the Scratch X.

Regarding Scratch-X. It's basically an abrasive polish. It's designed to work on paint with clear coat.
I'm not sure if it's safe on the plastic grill. Some polishes can burn or strip finishes on plastic.
You can try out on a small area before attacking the rest.
Read the labels carefully before attempting.
Plastic polish might be safer.

I have hard water here in Vegas, and on occasion the front (or back) of my car gets sprayed down by the sprinklers which leaves hard water deposits in the grill.
The best, cheapest solution I've found is 50/50 white vinegar and bottled water (ie not hard tap water), and just soak a rag and start cleaning out the spaces in the grill. It takes care of the deposits.
Note if you use on painted surfaces to re-wax afterwards as it'll strip your wax coating off.

Meguiars makes a plastic polish called Plast-X. I use it to polish my headlights at every car wash to prevent UV hazing.
Try that or some other plastic polish instead of something like Scratch-X (which I also own and use, but for scratches on paint).

Much thanks. I'll try the vinegar first. If no luck then the Plast-X.
I was thinking of using the Dow Scrubbing Bubbles or CLR since that works against hard water. Just a little leery of it damaging the plastic.
Just a side note, I 'm going to use the Dow Scrubbing Bubbles on the inside portion of my rims to see if that works as a good rim cleaner.
