Hi guys I'm new to this. I had a Saab before I bought my kizashi on Saturday. Absolutely live the car I must say its amazing. I'm wondering how and if its possible to get more mpg as this looks as if its the only thing that will annoy me. Any tips other than drive slower etc.

I broke mine in properly.

With its current 121K, I still got just under 32 MPG on my last tank (Mobil premium).
I suggest Mobil, Texaco, or Gulf premium. Lots of heavy footin', until you're assured the car is broken in.

We've had Saabs also, in fact there are still two "summer only" Saabs in our garage.
The warmed over 97 9K Aero w/300 WHP gets 32 mpg at 70 on a trip. The 99 9-3 Conv. gets about 25 mpg around town but it's an auto.
My 2011 Se gets 29 winter, 31 summer. The wifes 2012 "leather" edition gets 25-27 winter/summer. Neither is better than the two old Saabs, and it's quite dissapointing actually.
Both are AWD, but I'm sure a manual transmission and a turbo would help with mileage, but I guess we won't see that happen.

Hi guys thanks for your Reply. What I'm getting is basically keep the car under 2k revs as much as possible which I will now be doing. I have just filled it up with BP 97 Ron fuel so I will see how I get on with that fingers x

Also how and when do you know this little car has been broken in. Ive had a Subaru Impreza and I just knew when it was broken in as I kick the ass out of it 24/7 plus it had a turbo.

Just did a 200 mile round trip with two stops. The majority of which was motorway driving. I put the cruise control and stuck to the legal limit of 70 mph, with the occasional burst of speed taking me up to about 100 mph for very short periods. I managed to get 38 mpg. Unfortunately travelling to work and back is only giving me about 24 mpg. I didn't buy the Kizashi for fuel economy though, I got it for it's looks, it's power and all it's many extras.

Yes I bought it for the looks also. As soon as I seen the car I fell in love lol. Weshoot2 my car is at 4000 miles the now but im still getting 21mpg at most. To be honest I dont even care my car Is stunning

At over 122K in just over three years / four months I kinda care about MPG.

But I burn premium :shock:
